Anger I

Anybody can become angry - that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way - that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.

Little Rose or Lil' Rose ?

0

Decided to change the title of my blog but i will not change the url address because i don't want you guys can't find me later. So, the url is still the same rosesdailyjournal.blogspot.com. Only title change ya...

At first i want to use my FB nickname Little Rose but then my friend (kakak angkat) give me an idea of using Lil' Rose. It looks more smart, she said. I tried and yep..it looks smart. He he he.. thanks sis for giving me an idea.

However, i don't know why i am so into this "LITTLE" things... maybe because of St. Theresa of the Child of Jesus and also Mother Teresa of Calcutta (Blessed Teresa of Calcutta). The great stories of both of them makes me thinking so much about LITTLE .... little things that i can do in my life to make a difference for others i met... live my life as simple as St. Theresa and as Mother Teresa said, "We can not do great things. We can only do little things with great love."

Besides...
Then Jesus called a little child, set the child in the midst of the disciples, and said, "I assure you that unless you change and become like little children, you can not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever becomes lowly like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, and whoever receives such a child in my name receives me. If any of you should cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble and fall, it would be better for you to be thrown into the depths of the sea with a great millstone around your neck." -- Matt 18: 2-6

P.s: Thanks be to God...

*Updated at 6.55pm:
Decide to use LITTLE ROSE instead of LIL' ROSE.... (^____^)

Lost in the woods.......
This week, something bothering me again, something lingering in my mind, my head. Can't really concentrate with works or anything around me. Even doing something that i love to do like blogging and FB-ing. I just feeling lost. I am not sure what is actually happen to me. Maybe i am lost into something that i didn't know what is it actually. I thought, i will be alright after i shared "something" with some of my trusted friends and families but i am not. Is it too much until i can't handle it anymore?

Lost just like in the desert...??? .....
Consult not your fears but your hopes and dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.
-- Pope John XXIII

Munah - A Cat Next Door

3

Taken on 2nd Sept 2010 morning at about 0615 hrs
What so special about this fella? I love cats since i was a kid but somehow i get asthma when i was about 3 or 4 years old because of the cat's fur. After that my parents did not allowed me to get too close with furry furry animals but still i kept one or two when i am in primary school.

Munah is a cat next door. She always visit me either early in the morning or late in the afternoon just before dark. I like playing with her because she is soooo damn cute and naughty cat though. I love the way she is, just perfect cat to be loved. These few days i didn't see her around. Miss her already. So, i ask the owner (my neighbor's daughter), where is Munah? I did not see her around this week. She told me that Munah is sick. Pity for this little fella. I hope she will get better soon and i miss to play around with her. She like to play hide and seek while i am doing my gardening at the backyard of my house. She will hide behind the lemon grass leaves and i will just pretend that i did not see her and keep on calling her name. Ha ha ha... Must be my neighbors laughing at me if they saw me playing with this fella just like playing with little kid. Nevermind, i just want to enjoy the moments with her.

I hope she will getting better soon and i love this cat very much even though it is not mine. Thanks to my neighbor for letting this fella to accompany me sometime. Get well soon, MUNAH.

I thought......

4

I thought... i can express everything in here because i am so lazy to hold my pen or pencil and write it in my journal. It is easier to have it here in this blog, my daily journal. However, i realize it is a bit difficult to do. Maybe it is not the time yet to share what i faced now and what is the things that i experienced and keep lingering in my head. Nevermind... let it be.......

Anyway, i will keep on write and share something in here, don't worry... I will not let this blog empty.. I need to fill it with Hope, Faith & Love. It is a beautiful thing to share right? To lift up somebody else day! As Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, "Smile, because love start with smile".... so start up our day with smiles ya. Happy day and have a blessing days ahead. God loves YOU!

The one who hinders your growth!

0

“One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big notice on the door on which was written: 'Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral in the room that has been prepared in the gym'.

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself. The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room.

The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up. Everyone thought: 'Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!'. One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul. There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself.

There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: ‘There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: it is YOU’.

You are the only person who can revolutionize your life.
You are the only person who can influence your happiness, your realization and your success.
You are the only person who can help yourself.
Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your parents change, when your partner changes, when your company changes.
Your life changes when YOU change, when you go beyond your limiting beliefs, when you realize that you are the only one responsible for your life.

'The most important relationship you can have is the one you have with yourself'"

Bookmark - Part 2

0

This is the part 2 of my bookmarks production. There were 5 verses that i gathered in the Bookmark - Part 1. One of my buddy (my junior at high school), Olivia shared five of her favorite verses with me. Here it is:

  • Rejoice, young man, in your youth and direct well your heart when you are young; follow your desires and achieve your ambitions but recall that God will take account of all you do. -- Ecc 11: 9.
  • Drive sorrow from your heart and pain from your flesh, for youth and dark hair will not last. -- Ecc 11: 10.
  • Good and evil, life and death, poverty and richness, all come from the Lord. -- Sirach 11:14.
  • Do not give yourself over to sadness or torment yourself with brooding. Joy of heart is life to a man; gladness gives him length of days. Delight your soul and console your heart; chase sorrow far away for sorrow has destroyed many and never did good to anyone. -- Sirach 30: 21-23.
  • Rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give thanks to God at every moment. This is the will of God, your vocation as Christians. -- 1 Thess 5: 16-18.
I love all the verses that she shared with me. Will use all of them sis. Thanks a lot. As you said Sharing is Loving. Agreed with it 110%.. (^___^).

Well, now i search for more and find more of verses that means a lot to us. Sr. M told me, it will be better if i mix up some of my bookmark with Malay verses. So, i use both language then. Here is some of the collections that i have so far.

  • Marilah kepada-Ku, semua yang letih lesu dan berbeban berat, Aku akan memberi kelegaan kepadamu. -- Mat 11: 28.
  • Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. -- Matt 11: 28.
  • Berserulah kepada-Ku, maka aku akan menjawab engkau dan akan memberitahukan kepadamu hal-hal yang besar dan yang tidak terfahami, yakni hal-hal yang tidak kau ketahui. -- Yer 33: 3.
  • Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know. -- Jer 33: 3.
  • Mintalah, maka akan diberikan kepadamu; carilah, maka kamu akan mendapat; ketuklah, maka pintu akan dibukakan bagimu. -- Mat 7:7.
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. -- Matt 7: 7.
  • Damai sejahtera Kutinggalkan bagimu. Damai sejahtera-Ku Kuberikan kepadamu, dan apa yang Kuberikan tidak seperti yang diberikan oleh dunia kepadamu. Janganlah gelisah dan gentar hatimu. -- Yoh 14: 27.
  • Peace be with you; I give you my peace. Not as the world gives peace do I give it to you. Do not be troubled; do not be afraid. -- John 14: 27.
  • Aku memberikan perintah baru kepada kamu, iaitu supaya kamu saling mengasihi; sama seperti Aku telah mengasihi kamu demikian pula kamu harus saling mengasihi. -- Yoh 13: 34.
  • A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. -- John 13: 34.
Okay, i think that is all for the day. I have more but this is it for now then. Hope can complete more today.

P/s: Msg me or drop a comments if you have your favourite verses that you want to share wit me. Feel free to leave it in comment ya. God bless all of us... PEACE!!!

Quality of Life

0

Photo Credit to Ashraf Hendricks at deviantART
A group of working adults got together to visit their University lecturer. The lecturer was happy to see them. Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life. The Lecturer just smiled and went to the kitchen to get an assortment of cups - some porcelain, some in plastic, some in glass, some plainlooking and some looked rather expensive and exquisite. The Lecturer offered his former students the cups to get drinks for themselves. When all the students had a cup in hand with water, the Lecturer spoke:

"If you noticed, all the nice looking, expensive cups were taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal that you only want the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. What all you wanted was water, not the cup, but we unconsciously went for the better cups. Just like in life, if Life is Water, then the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold/maintain Life, but the quality of Life doesn't change."

"If we only concentrate on the cup, we won't have time to enjoy/taste the water in it." - Author unknown -

Let Penang be a beacon of hope for Merdeka — Lim Guan Eng

0

*Just want to share something about speech by Penang CM for 53 Merdeka. I don't like to talk about Malaysian politic but when it is about a change for people and really benefits the society, it is a good sign. Therefore, just want to share it with my readers. I hope i get the correct info from the trusted source. Correct me if i am wrong. PEACE TO THE WORLD!!! Here is the speech:

AUG 31 — As we celebrate our 53 Merdeka, the country appears more divided than ever by racial, religious and even personal hatred. Fomenting racial and religious intolerance and hatred is now the rule rather than the exception.

The biggest challenge is whether Malaysians can rise above the language of violence used by extremists and fulfil our destiny of Merdeka 53 years ago of a shared society belonging to all and promising prosperity to everyone. Penang is under constant siege and attack by extremists and political foes from BN and Umno who use lies to create tension and division.

Amongst the lies still used is that the Penang state government has banned the Maulidur Rasul procession, banned Pasar Ramadan, replaced the YDP Agong’s name in Friday sermons with the Chief Minister’s name, only evict Malay villagers and traders. Up till today, the state government has not evicted a single Malay or non-Malay household and when enforcement action is taken against traders, only 30 per cent is Malay. Even when eviction is done by private landowners, the state government has also intervened to negotiate a settlement.

It is because our opponents are bankrupt of ideas that they resort to race and religion. Race and religious hatred is the final weapon of the extremists who can not win any debate based on facts and logic or find any weaknesses in PR’s performance.

Their desperation can be shown when the Penang PR government can not be faulted for being corrupt, abuse of power or wasting public funds. None of PR leaders have become rich or own luxury homes. We lived in a moderate lifestyle and travel by economy air wherever we can.

PR has reduced corruption with our CAT governance of Competency, Accountability and Transparency by turning around a projected deficit of RM35 million in 2008 to a record surplus of RM88 million. This was repeated again in 2009 by turning around a projected deficit of RM40 million to a surplus of RM77 million. For the first time in history, Transparency International praised Penang’s CAT governance for fighting corruption.

That is why the state government can afford its senior citizens appreciation programme of annual payout of RM100 to all over 60 years and RM1,000 one-off to beneficiaries of senior citizens which costs nearly RM20 million. That is why the state government can give RM100 water rebate in 2008 to all poor and middle-income households costing nearly RM 20 million. That is why the state government can give money annually to partially-assisted schools of RM 11.3 million. That is why the state government can double the allocation for Islamic affairs to RM 24.3 million in 2010 as compared to RM 13.5 million under BN in 2008.

All these successes in implementing a people-centric government have made our political opponents desperate. They become more desperate when Penang became the first state to ban sports betting(judi bola) after the Federal government issued the licence. Due to Penang’s lead, the Federal government had no choice but to cancel the judi bola licence. Certainly many BN and UMNO leaders must be angered by the cancellation of the judi bola licence because of loss of revenue of hundreds of millions of ringgit.

Penang will forge ahead in establishing the first people’s government in Malaysia that listens to the people, do the people’s work and give hope to the people. We will also remain steadfast in barring sports betting in the state as this is the common aspirations of 1.5 million Penangites regardless of race.

Let Penang be a beacon of hope for Merdeka, democracy, integrity, public morality and a people’s government as well as a symbol of national unity where Penangites live together in harmony and mutual respect.

Happiness in the Face of A Little Child

0

Great memories to be remembered when we were just a little child. Nothing much to worries because life is so easy and fun. Living life as happy as they can for the moments is too precious to be wasted. Owh! How i wish i am a child. I wish i can seize every moments of my life as happy as a little child.

Murut's kids of three villages that i visited at Tomani, Tenom, Sabah....
It was so fun swimming in the cool fresh water. Enjoying the moments with fellow friends. Eventhough, knowing that once get home, a stick is waiting in mum's hand. It doesn't matter as much as having fun playing with mates...

Two little children with their parents... playing chase and run while waiting for their parents....
Pic taken at Tomani, Tenom
Walking through the paddy field. Helping mum planting paddy but most of the time trying to catches little fish swimming in the small holes. Playing chase and run at the hut while waiting for mum and dad finish their works in the field. When get bored, trying to find something to eat or just take a nap for a while....

"Mum, i am waiting to get back home. Just wake me up if you are done, i am tired because of having so much fun playing in the field..."

Letting Go Takes Love

6

To let go does not mean to stop caring,
it means I can't do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off,
it's the realization I can't control another.
To let go is not to enable,
but allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means
the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try to change or blame another,
it's to make the most of myself.
To let go is not to care for,
but to care about.
To let go is not to fix,
but to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their destinies.
To let go is not to be protective,
it's to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny,
but to accept.
To let go is not to nag, scold or argue,
but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.
To let go is not to criticize or regulate anybody,
but to try to become what I dream I can be.
To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and live for the future.
To let go is to fear less and love more.

So my sacred message for you is to love more - allow love to rule,
know it is a gift, to be treasured and truly treasure those you love.

Here is to letting go - and letting God.

*Note: I dedicated this poem to someone i love. Letting you go is not easy but by not letting you go will make things worse. God's love is greater than human love. God loves you and me that is why we met. May God blessings shower on you each and everyday. Amen.

Living Life

4

We choose our own path in our life. To be better or stay the same as where we are now and before. It's our own choice. It is in our hands.
A beutiful lake on the ridge of Crocker Range t Tomani, Tenom....
Exploring the world and seeing so many things happen in between gives so much learning experience. Seeing the beauty of the forest with the green trees, amazing creatures (plants and animals), refresh air, cool and refreshing clean and clear water, enjoying the sounds of nature and so many great things to be mention. Makes me realize how wonder is the God's creation for us to appreciate and protect it from being destroyed.

An old woman planting paddy...... alone by herself... Keep smile on her face...
Connected and get to know the people living by the forest reminds me of myself where i come from. Who i am before. There is nothing to be ashamed to be part of this life before. Planting paddy and sago as the main source of income and to make a living. Appreciate and thanks be to God for giving me a chance to living in such a difficult condition. He make me ready to see it in others when i live my life better, for now. To make me understand and comfort others that i found along my journey which is in the same situation where i experienced before.
Another old woman carrying firewoods from the forest... by herself after her husband died a few years ago....
When i saw this old ladies working so hard to make sure they still have a spoon of rice tomorrow morning really touch my heart. They are old, never complaint of living like that because they know they already doing their very best to survive until the end. To let their children grow up and make a better life on their own. Sacrifices. But what about us? Still complain eventhough we have enough food and money to buy anything we want?

Dear Lord Jesus Christ,
I am so grateful that i don't have so much money but you gave me a compassionate heart. A heart that have love to share with others. It's not mine o Lord, it is all yours. Use me as your instrument of your love. Let it be done as you want it to be done. Amen.

Thirst of God's LOVE

0

Do you still love me o my Lord, Jesus? Lover of my soul? Do you? Yes, i am sure you do. You accept me for who i am....... for who i was before and for who i am now....

Jesus, Lover of my soul,
Jesus, I will never let you go
You've taken me from the miry clay
You've set my feet upon the Rock, and now i know

I love you, I need you,
Though my world may fall, Ill never let you go
My Saviour, my closest friend,
I will worship you until the very end

LOVE & Forgiveness

2

Hurt.... brokenness... unwanted... alone... lonely... abandon...  From who? The one that we love... the one that we care... or our enemies?... the one that we really hate? It's hold grunge in the heart... the heart is broken... hurt badly...  Feel far apart from Jesus our Saviour. Feel unworthy of His Love.. I am a sinner kneel down before Him. Will He accept me again? To be His Little Child? Am afraid.. afraid He will not accept me.. Will He listen to me again? Hold me in His arms when i can't stand anymore? When i feel that my feet can't stand on the ground? I am human, so many doubt i have upon Him but His Love never fails on me. His Love brings me back to Him. How wonderful God works in my life. Praise you above all name o My Lord Jesus Christ......

1 John 1: 8-10 ~ If we say, "We have no sin," we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all wickedness. If we say that we do not sin, we make God a liar, his word is not in us.~

God will always listen to all His little children. Just open our heart and allow Him to enter our hearts. Forgive us our sin as we forgive those who sin against us.

My dear friends, let us love one another for love comes from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Those who do not love have not known God, for God is love. How did the love of God appear among us? God sent his only Son into this world that we might have life through him. This is love: not that we loved God but that he first loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 4: 7-10.

My LOVE

0

My LOVE must be as free,
As is the eagle's wing,
Hovering over land and sea,
As flowing water by the river,
As smooth as the breezes,
Along mountain and skies,
Between spaces and everything,
Nothing can stop me from Loving.
